Artillery will also have bonuses against them, though their weak stats along with the very good movement and range of the fast units does make the match-up rather questionable. In the Progressive and Modern Era, there is a significant change in class bonuses: they have bonuses against ranged units, on par with light units, but heavy units will have massive bonuses against them. They are also able to reach the other side of the field in two moves as well (unless there are many rocks). This combination is very useful to attack enemy units with ranged units and/or artillery units with little light and heavy units, though one must be cautious, and hold the fast units just out of enemy ranged units' range, as they can do a lot of damage to the fast unit, especially as the AI will move the fast units within their range, and allow a lot of unnecessary damage to be dealt.įast units are able to also selectively attack certain units on the battlefield as well, as their great movement allows them to easily manoeuvre around the battlefield, despite their inability to travel through rocks. Due to their very fast movement as well, they are also very good at taking out artillery units as well, but they struggle against light units, as they have bonuses against fast units, and they have similar problems against Heavy Units, as they have very high defense, which makes the fast units weaker in the fight.Ī combination of 8 fast units, or 1 or 2 fast units and the rest rogues can be used. They have mediocre stats compared to other same age units, and they possess bonuses against ranged units but no terrain bonuses. Up until the Progressive Era, Fast Units are usually the third unlocked units. Usage within each Age Bronze Age to Industrial Age

Version history JASC Paint Shop releases: 1990?–1993 On November 28, 2007, Corel announced that the office in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, where Paint Shop Pro was created, would be shut down, with development moving to offices in California and China. Having dropped the "Photo" part of the name in version X4, Paintshop Pro X5 was derived from Ulead Photo Explorer after Corel's acquisition of Ulead. įrom 2006 to 2011 (versions XI to X3), PaintShop Pro was marketed as "Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo". PaintShop Pro X7 includes content-aware features such as "Magic Fill" and "Smart Edge" as well as support for XMP sidecar files that preserve edit settings for raw formats. PaintShop Pro X6 was the first to be available as a native 64 bit version (purchase includes both versions). PaintShop Pro 5 added support for layers as well as CMYK and HSL colour modes, included JASC Animation Shop for creating animations and in fact was marketed as "Paint Shop Pro 5.0 with Animation Shop". Most newer versions are only commercially available although some have been distributed in the United Kingdom in computer magazine CDs after they became obsolete. Paint Shop was originally distributed as shareware and is still available at many download sites (4.12 being a popular version). It was released by Robert Voit in August 1990. Originally called simply Paint Shop, the first version, 1.0, was a basic picture converter between BMP, GIF and PCX formats, conceived by Robert Voit and developed by Joel DeRider. Hello interesting others are having trouble, and funny I didn't find this thread earlier. Is there an alternative to TinyMCE that doesn't fall foul of ModSec and can be installed (the one linked to previously in this thread won't install on the site I am working on now - it downloads, but does not install)? Is there hosting somewhere that can guarantee that this sort of nonsense will not occur?ģ. How dangerous is it to just permanently disable ModSec for a MODX site that is kept up to date?Ģ. The problem is that I have done that with this site in the past, but the problem keeps coming back, perhaps because the whitelist gets deleted or because new rules get installed that duplicate the problem.ġ. So its back to the hosting company to meekly ask them to look for the ModSec rules that are clashing, and whitelisting them. Have tried to test without TinyMCE, but haven't managed because of some MODX weirdness (core/cache insists on loading TinyMCE even after TinyMCE has been completely uninstalled and removed and the core/cache has been deleted). Seems to occur only on resources that have TVs set to rich text, I guess when TinyMCE is installed. Not sure what is breaching the ModSec rules. Yes, Sabrecho is right, you can disable ModSec, edit in MODX, save the edit, then re-enable ModSec, but that is no solution for the client. Markz - zaphodx - did you find a solution? I have reported the same problem in the past, and still haven't found a satisfactory solution. Switching to WiiWare, Nintendo added two new titles this week, the first of which is Airport Mania: First Flight (500 Wii points, or $5). The scenes are taken from the Spot-It book series, and the title boasts 10 levels and three difficulty levels: easy, medium, and insane. From Big John Games, the title tasks players with racing against the clock to find hidden items scattered throughout various environments. The last new DSiWare title out today is Spot It! Challenge (200 DSi points, or $2). Players will have their brains tickled through seven levels, ultimately working their way to earning the "Frenzic Master" title. From Two Tribes, the single-player puzzle-solving title was originally released as an App for the iPhone/iPod Touch. Cave Story takes to the dark depths today.Īlso arriving on the portable's download space this week is Frenzic (200 DSi points, or $2). Players awake with no memory in the dark cave and quickly learn that the Mimiga are in grave danger, thanks to the nefarious scheming of a maniacal scientist. The title throws players into a cave where a race of rabbit-like critters, known as Mimiga, scamper about. Leading the pack today is Nicalis' 2D platformer Cave Story (1,000 DSi points, or $10) on DSiWare. While gamers' refrigerators might be stuffed with Thanksgiving leftovers, Nintendo is filling its download marketplace with six fresh titles today. If you don’t like how it looks, you can reset your adjustments or revert to your original shot.Īpple Photos syncs everything with the iCloud, and does a great job of organising your photos, which is particularly useful if you have a ton of them spread across different i-devices. Then, when you’ve made an edit, you can judge it against the original by clicking Compare. As well as cropping your images, you can edit and enhance them using controls including brightness, contrast, saturation, white balance, curves, levels and vignette. With the kind of clean and minimal interface you expect from Apple, this app is aimed at general consumers and is suitably easy to use. And if you give it a try, you may find it provides everything you need, especially if you’re a beginner or just want to make a few basic edits to your photos. If you have a Mac then you already have Apple Photos installed. And as the name suggests, this lightweight app works quickly and efficiently, so you may even prefer it to the full-bodied Photoshop if you just need to make a few tweaks. But it does feature a pretty decent set of tools for basic image editing. It doesn’t replicate everything in Photoshop nowhere near, in fact. Blur, fade, vignette, spot heal and red-eye removal tools are also at your fingertips. You can also add filters fine-tune Exposure, Highlights and Shadows and tweak things further with tools including Sharpen, Reduce Luminance Noise, and Reduce Color Noise. Photoshop Express allows you to crop your images and enhance them using slider-based controls such as contrast, clarity, saturation, vibrance and dehaze. All you need is an Adobe ID, which is free to create and only takes a couple of moments. And not only is this available for mobile platforms, but there’s a version for PCs too, which you can download from the Windows Store. Given how expensive a Photoshop subscription is, you may be surprised that a number of its features are available in a free app called Photoshop Express. |
